Welcome to the 5th Annual Wayzata Invitational May 15-17, 2026 at Wayzata High School & Elm Creek Playfields. Games might be played by some local teams on Friday should additional field space be needed, otherwise games will primarily be played on Saturday & Sunday.

Format: 4 game schedule with playoffs
Divisions: Boys and Girls 8U-14U; A & B levels offered at 10U/12U/14U if numbers allow
Cost:
- 8U $375 per team (boys & girls)
- 10U $600 per team (boys & girls)
- 12U $735 per team (boys & girls)
- 14U $735 per team (boys & girls)
Team Registration:
- Online-only player registration & waivers will occur after the Teams are finalized.
- Payment for Team Registration are preferred electronically via credit/debit card only at time of registration. Contact Gina Carbo at Treasurer@wayzatalax.com if using a check.

Note: All teams will compete in the division they are registered. If there are not enough teams registered to compete in a Division, the Tournament Directors reserve the right to move teams.
Refund Information: Refunds will be as follows:
- 90% refund issued if Wayzata Lacrosse is notified by April 1, 2026
- 50% refund issued if Wayzata Lacrosse is notified by April 13, 2026
- No refunds issued after April 13, 2026
- Fees are non-refundable if the tournament is canceled, shortened, or otherwise modified in any way due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
- In the case of inclement weather, every effort will be made to complete the tournament in its entirety.

Schedule changes will be available at the team check-in area at Tournament HQ or through Tourney Machine.
The Directors of the Wayzata Invitational Tournament reserve the right to cancel, shorten, or reschedule tournament games due for reasons including but not limited to inclement weather, poor field conditions, player and fan safety concerns. The Directors also reserve the right to remove any player from a roster because of, but not limited to mis-conduct.
This registration will allow you to provide contact information, register teams, and submit payment.
We will be contacting you via the email provided in this registration process with information about providing roster information, and other details.

Official tournament gear/t-shirts will be available on site for purchase, courtesy of Northwest designs.
If your requested age group is full, you will automatically be added to the waitlist.

2026 Wayzata Invitational Lacrosse Tournament Rules
Rules
● Tournament rules will follow GNLL standard rules, with some exceptions.
Rosters
● Tournament rosters must be set prior to tournament play and submitted to tournament directors 72 hours before first game. No doubling of rosters.
Games
● Northland and MLUA officials are scheduled for all games. In the unexpected situation that all games may not be filled by officials, Wayzata Lacrosse will backfill youngest level games with other officials.
● Games consist of two 20-minute running halves and a 3-minute halftime.
● Each team will have one representative as scorekeeper/penalty timekeeper per game provided by each team.
● Central timekeepers will sound an air horn at game start, halftime, 2nd half start, and end of each game.
● Game clock is a running clock and does not stop for timeouts or injuries.
● Each team is allowed one 30-second timeout per half. No time outs or equipment checks during the last 2 minutes of the game.
Pool Play
● Ties are allowed in pool play. There will be no overtime.
● Tie breakers within a pool are assessed in the following order:
Head-to-Head – if two teams only
Goals Allowed
Goal Differential (Capped at 10 per game)
Goals Scored
Head-to-Head Goal Differential
Bracket play Overtime
○ Five-minute sudden death overtime starts immediately after regulation. First goal wins
○ If no team scores after a five-minute sudden death, the following tiebreaker rules will apply (see additional tiebreaker document).
