If the rostered adult coaches for the team cannot be in attendance at a practice or a game, it is the responsibility of the head coach to:
Out of respect to parents, players, and other teams, rescheduling or canceling an event should be done with as much advance notice as possible.
In addition, and when a head coach is under the age of 21, Wayzata Lacrosse will make a concerted effort to secure one parent coach to assist the head coach for all teams to assist in fulfilling the obligations above. Parent Coaches will be expected to fulfill all necessary coaching requirements (USL Membership, Background Check and USL On-line Level 1 training or league training).
Any costs incurred by a coach to meet the specified requirements shall be reimbursed by Wayzata Lacrosse Association.
Youth coaches under 18 years of age do not qualify to supervise events without an adult coach present.
Wayzata Lacrosse is committed to having proper supervision at our practices and games as to insure the safety of our players and spectators.
In addition, insurance coverage for Wayzata Lacrosse sponsored events requires this level of supervision.
