Coaching Supervision Policy

 

It is the policy of Wayzata Lacrosse that an adult coach with a valid US Lacrosse Coaches Membership is required to be in attendance at all practices and games. 

 

If the rostered adult coaches for the team cannot be in attendance at a practice or a game, it is the responsibility of the head coach to:

 

• Cancel the event
• Reschedule the event
• Solicit other Wayzata Lacrosse adult coaches to stand in for them at the event.

 

Out of respect to parents, players, and other teams, rescheduling or canceling an event should be done with as much advance notice as possible.

 

Youth coaches under 21 years of age do not qualify to supervise events without an adult coach present.

 

Wayzata Lacrosse is committed to having proper supervision at our practices and games as to insure the safety of our players and spectators.

 

In addition, insurance coverage for Wayzata Lacrosse sponsored events requires this level of supervision.
