Girl’s Lacrosse Community-

If you, or anyone you know (players, teammates, younger sisters, friends) is interested in a girls lacrosse youth select team, there are 2 options below...1) Minnesota Storm (players in grad years 2014, 2015 & 2016), and 2)Minnesota Monarchs (2017 & 2018)...

1) MINNESOTA STORM
We are thrilled to be in our second year as a select traveling lacrosse team for middle school girls. This team will be chosen in June ’10 and will travel to two highly competitive tournaments -- the US Lacrosse U15 Championship (Lake Buena Vista, FL, July 17-20) and the Sandstorm Tournament (Palm Desert, CA, in mid- January 2011).

The team will focus on skill development and will include high-level game opportunities for top-performing players as well as develop positive leadership and life skills. The girls will be selected for this team on the basis of not only strong on-field performance and potential, but also their leadership and sportsmanship off field.

In our inaugural season we took first place in our division at both the Indian Prairie Showdown in IL and the Sandstorm Tournament in CA! As coaches it was wonderful to be part of and we are thrilled to see how much the girls have grown as players and young women, together.

The Team has two Coaches – Maria Slusser and Beth Lyman. Coach Maria is a former NCAA DI player and captain at James Madison with 8 years of experience coaching at the youth level in MN and PA. Coach Beth is a former NCAA DI player and captain for Princeton University, a current youth coach for Minnetonka and the former Head Coach of Minnetonka High School Girl's Lacrosse Team. She also is a player for the MN Northstars.

We are honored to serve the sport and are hopeful we will see you in June at Tryouts!
