The Minneapolis/St. Paul area Middle School Schoolgirls Lacrosse League (MSSLax) was founded in 2003 to encourage and support middle school schoolgirls' lacrosse programs. The goal of the league is to offer middle school teams competitive play during the spring girls' lacrosse season, while stressing skills development and sportsmanship.

Youth Lacrosse of Minnesota
Youth Lacrosse of Minnesota is formed for the purpose of providing a safe, fun, and unified environment for the development and further advancement of youth lacrosse in Minnesota.
YLM has drawn up four initial boys' youth districts made up of metro area associations that had youth boys teams in 2005. Eligible teams are: boys in grades 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8. The 2006 outdoor season will run from May 30 through the end of July
